Flood Relief by Akshaya Patra Guwahati

The Akshaya Patra Foundation Guwahati distributed food to the flood victims in the relief camps at Momaikatagarh School, Lathiabagicha,  Rangamahal and Lenga  in North Guwahati area on 27th and 28th September 2012.

The team was accompanied by two staff from the Local Circle Office where food for more than thousand people were distributed among the victims

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a non-profit making organization, operating the world’s largest NGO-run school meal programme in India in partnership with the State and Central Governments. “No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger” is the vision the Foundation is working towards. The Foundation has recently celebrated serving of One Billion Meals since inception. Currently it is serving 1.3 million children across 9 states of India, covering 512 Government schools of Kamrup District in Assam.
